    Must-Go-Places in Tokyo, Japan?

Pretty much anywhere when I went lol. BTW if you go to Disneyland, you MUST purchase the fast-pass unless you're content with waiting in line for 3 hours.

Is anyone studying the Fundamentals of Mathematics (MATH1011) course? How is it?

^^^ Don't say that before you've even finished lmao. If you manage to do the 3U bridging course before semester starts it should already give an brief overview of 1/3 of the subjects. Subjects seem very do able with a 2U knowledge (assuming you get above 60 in HSC mathematics).

    Science unis?

Tell us what you're planning to major in. Science at USYD is very good especially on the theory side, they just have really old facilities and equipment. I'm not familiar with UNSW but I'm sure their science program is also excellent. UTS has great facilites, if you see their past examinations...

Haha they must of changed it then! Is it the same for MATH1X02?

    Best uni for maths

Difficulty can be a factor. Consider this: Each quiz is worth 15% and usually has 15 questions (some have sub questions), you have 40 minutes to complete it. No marks for working out, only the final answer is marked. Now the content isn't very hard, it's usually how you manage your time in these...

    Best uni for maths

A large number of people usually fail their first calculus quiz at USYD.

    Best uni for maths

P.S. If you look at the curriculum, a typical math degree at UTS has striking similarities to an industrial engineering degree (which is not available as an engineering major in Australia) although the mathematics and finance degree is probably different. You should seriously consider adding...

What sort of mark do you need to study abroad?

Depends if their is someone at LSE who wants to do the exchange. Generally exchanges at USYD with prestigious universities are extremely competitive and you'll need around an HD WAM.

    University questions (actuarial studies/maths/science)

Personal preference, although from what I've seen USYD has a fantastic pure mathematics department. UNSW also seem to offer a wide variety of applied mathematics specializations.

How hard is it to get first class honours in Science?

You'll have to have a incredibly good thesis. IMO to achieve a thesis of this caliber you'll have to be both very talented and passionate about your work. There is one person (forgot his name) at USYD who achieved a perfect 100/100 for his honours in astrophysics. He later when on to graduate...

    How to study for INFO1003?

Do you have the tutorial questions? Just work through them week by week. The INFO1XXX classes never bother telling you the specific details of what is in the quizzes but in generally contain everything you learnt from the beginning of semester.

    2nd Year Student questions

I saw your post on reddit, you need to note that there are quite a few differences in their education and qualification programs in U.S. compared to here.

Change in degree outline from 2015 to 2016

You will keep your transcript and GPA with the science subjects regardless. As for your absent fails, if you want to transfer unis UAC will calculate the all your marks regardless if you've failed a few subjects as they will stay on your transcript.

Change in degree outline from 2015 to 2016

To get into honours you'll need a credit-average minimum. No, you did not do it for nothing. You you should follow the 2016 outline (you should probably ask the faculty about this). It is provisionally accredited by EA atm. Once the first cohort graduates and are of sufficient standard, it...

    2nd Year Student questions

Graduate programs generally accept at least a credit-average minimum (3.0 GPA). Also, MQ's mechanical engineering program isn't fully accredited at Engineers Australia yet, so be wary of that.

    2nd Year Student questions

    1. No, the closest to electrical engineering at MQ is electronics or computer engineering (both sub-disciplines of electrical engineering). I'd personally won't recommend commencing a MS/ME straight after your BE for employment reasons. 2. If you want to become an engineer after graduation, a...
