    Can teachers "force" drop you in a subject?

    This is only true if you break school rules or state laws (eg sell drugs, bash another student). Provided a student makes a serious attempt in class and in assessment tasks, then they cannot be removed from the course.

    Yes you can take up a VET course in Year 12 only, but you will have to complete 4 units in one year (240 indicative hours) in order to sit the optional exam for contribution to the UAI.

    Not necessarily. His exam mark (37/50) may have been a depressed score and omitted from initial moderation. The moderated assessment mark (49/50) would then have been calculated by interpolation between the moderated assessment of the second-ranked student and 50/50.
