Question: Why would you use a laptop in a lecture or a seminar? Answer: To get down every single thing that the lecturer says. Obviously you don't need a written record of what every lecturer says because most classes have tapes, online recordings and easily available lecture notes...

It is funny though that they have acknowledged that you were disadvantaged when you got your UAI but somehow that same disadvantage that they recognised a year ago doesn't apply to your same UAI score when you're transferring :rolleyes:

If you transfer to B Science, you should check to see whether any of the maths units that you sat would contribute towards that course. You should also check if any other universities would recognise your maths units as contributing towards a B science. If you've sat 8-10 units of maths...

I'm in the computer labs printing mine out :p. I don't like to use lecture notes. I don't cram, but usually two weeks before my exams I'll start listening to past lectures (if they were good) or catching up by summarising readings from the brick and the textbook (if the lectures were bad)...

3 posts? I'm an ex-student anyway, but that's besides the point. Personally, I thought that my contribution of, "you're just plain wrong, we accelerated in maths only; and even then not to HSC level until the actual HSC" was quite a good one.
