Ted Hughes - The Birthday Letters

Ted Hughes - The Birthday Letters This is what we're doing as part of Module C: Representation and Text, from Elective 1: Conflicting Perspectives, though we're starting it later in the year. I have no idea what the poems are about or what they're like, and it seems pretty obscure. Is anyone...

    hamlet

haha, my comment sounded pretty bad - I wasn't actually thinking I would point out the flaws of Hamlet. It just sounds like a fancy name for a pretty standard Module, right?

    hamlet

I think my school's doing Hamlet in Term 2, most of the classes are at least. If it's a "critical" study, does that mean we are not meant to say how great it is (like we are with BR/Frank.) but critique it, and highlight its flaws? Or am I just overthinking this?

    Results- How are you going?

I went surprisingly well first time round, but now I'm kinda expecting myself to go better, which will be hard. MX2 - =8/35, but its hard to tell with MX2 how well I am going, cos that rank seems good but I'm competing against gun maths students state-wide. Eng Adv - =10/150, a significant...

    Teacher's Strike

We were told last term there may be a teacher's strike Term 1, is this happening or not? If there is it'd extend my holidays till Friday, instead of having to go back Wednesday. If this is old news already, sorry.

Work Experience in Area of Commerce? (Year 10)

Send out e-mails to the HR people at however many firms you wish to apply, stressing your passion for law and the profession, and it also will help if you make it clear to them that you're flexible and won't be a burden. I got into a good firm, although I knew someone there...

    law UAI

Why do that? If you're not interested in helping then why post. BTW, I think that there is another thread nearby discussing whether EAS application is still possible, so maybe try that. Not sure which one it is though.

UAI - UNSW combined law for 2009ers

But why is funding needed if it's true that domestic fee-paying places are just being transferred to international fee-paying places? Are the Uni's being reimbursed by the Gov't and then proceeding to cut spots because they're getting the money anyway?

The Be-All, End-All Comparison between UNSW and USyd

They're basically the same course aren't they? So is the only difference, re teaching, the lecturers that each school employs? Obviously there's other factors to consider like location and social life, but I'm still stuck on what differs UNSW from USYD. Do they teach differently?

Question about B Laws (Graduate Entry)

Graduate Law is 3 years, Combined Law (under-grad) is generally 5 years. But if you complete another degree first, often 3 years, and then enter and complete Grad. entry Law, another 3 years, then the total is 6 years - 1 year longer than Combined Law. So, for example, you complete a straight...

Why are sciences and mathematics scaled so well?

We're regularly told by a teacher at our school that the only two kids to have gotten a UAI of 100 in recent years did no maths or sciences.

    2008 HSC School Rankings

Re: Top 200 Schools - Daily Telegraph So if Malek Fahd is being lied about by the SMH (due to it's religion, apparently), have any school officials / principals challenged the SMH? Or anyone from the Muslim community ? (seeing as its a religoulsy charged issue) Or is it just you? I'm not...

3 hours a night is not enough!

Writing your own study notes not only provide you with a set of complete notes for the subjects you are studying, but also, by writing the notes, the knowledge is ingrained into your memory, making the process even more useful. Although, talking about them is the easy part - you (and I) need to...

    UAC is a fraud!

Don't listen to him, if you actually have a disability then you are obviously hard done by. If you are still planning to complain to UAC, I reckon you should tone down the anger though man. Random UAC employee will merely hang up if they hear another bitchy kid on the phone complaining about...

    2008 HSC School Rankings

Re: Top 200 Schools - Daily Telegraph The above responders are only going by the apparent facts of an apparently unbiased newspaper article. As for the SMH and school principals lying, either you're right and these groups are lying to defame Malek Fahd, or you are wrong. It doesn't sound as...
