hey all I'm sure there are alot of people out there who have decided upon law as their future career, and aren't deterred by the astronomically high ATAR that's required to study such a course. Of course I didn't get into law at USYD or UNSW but I do have my pick of either Macquarie or UTS...
I can't imagine how and why that would be the case. Do they accept people like me unconditionally when they go up to and talk to them in an attempt to befriend them? Sorry if I'm a little slow at comprehending all this :S
I might also add that I'm kinda deliberately keeping this discussion going just so this thread can get more replies :3 which would make it the most replied to thread I've ever posted ^^
@Shadowdude I'm thinking of doing Social Inquiry/Law at UTS which I hope will get me into a career as a civil servant either in politics, social advocacy or policy analysis or something like that. To be honest I'm not sure I only just glanced at the career options for my particular degree :p...
@Shadowdude I should say thanks for the reassurance, appreciate it. So seeing as I've never asked before, what course are u planning to do at University? Are u set on going to UNSW? And have u envisoned what ur future career is going to be like? Where do u see yourself 5-6 yrs down the track...
Ok but how about if ur trying to catch people out? To me it just seems wrong to approach a girl who's by herself and just be like "Hey there how's it going? Whats ur name? What school to did u come from?" and initiate a conversation. Hence contact details are a no no until I've earnt their...
@nomoar- I feel guilt because I just think its in a guys disposition to want to approach and chat up girls. And for girls to reject them and choose to not have anything to do with them at all. Hence that makes me feel guilty for wanting to talk to them in the first place.
I do feel like I've...
hey all I'm freely acknowledging here that I'm not as proficient as all of you are in meeting and greeting new people and making friends of them, especially if they're of the opposite gender. I am seriously lacking in this particular department, which is why I posted this thread with this...
Thanks Shadowdude for the reassurance it was a rather naive thing for me at the time to consider that going to a school just for guys was no biggie. I shrugged it off as if it were nothing and didn't and wouldn't matter at all, not even during the later years. I had a choice between Normo and...
that I do but I did at first question the reasoning of the person to post a thread dealing with such a topic. which I guess was what drew me to this thread in the first place, sheer curiosity got the better of me... 0_0 Ok I admit it I clicked on the youtube link on page 1, cracked up then...
actually I've never had a girlfriend before in my life. Is it the norm to have girlfriends, however temporary or superficial the relationship must be, even before the end of high school? The fact that I went to a boy school ostensibly contributed to the fact that I just didn't get to see as many...
yeah I went to Normanhurst Boys. oh and last time I forget to say congratulations on the ATAR, there can't be that many 95.40'ers out there right? But seriously terrific effort
lol at this thread. I seriously thought boredofstudies stood for topics that were in the interest of the general student community, not those pertaining to individual fetishes or obsessive, unhealthy predilections
yep I definitely feel the need to contribute to general discussion threads such as this with their broad array of topics, as well as the fact that there is some benefit to be had for some at least, in partaking in such broad discussions which give me the chance to talk about how I really feel...
I ended up getting 95.40 although it was .20 off the predicted 95.60 its still a good result my parents are pleased so I guess I should be too. Especially considering that 95 was the ATAR I originally set out to achieve; all the way back at the beginning of year 11 I wrote on a scrap of paper...

Thanks guys, after some deliberation I finally opted for Biotech cause it seemed more interesting to me, but yeah your thoughts on the matter are appreciated. Everyone wish me luck, I'm teaching myself Biotech cause my teacher won't do it
Thanks guys, only now with the end in sight have I remembered to come back here for advice, anyways appreciate the help! I'm not entirely sure of whether my major work will in the end turn out to be the one which I originally intended it to be but my main focus is to just get it done, not much...
haha thanks guys, guess I admit it is hard to write a decent story for belonging and to not write a rubbishy story, most of the time I just find myself re-using the same central concept over and over (the fractured relationship between family members and friends)
