    When would you start tutoring?

I think for humanities subjects tutoring is only necessary for essay marking and making sure that your essay is up to hsc standard. Other than that there isn't much to do since your teacher can explain the concepts to you anyway.

Help! Failed 2012 HSC and regret it badly, want to go to Uni now :(

This. You might as well repeat the hsc in tafe and it's the easiest path since you can do year 11 and 12 within a year and get your atar and go to uni. Going through diploma and courses takes you forever to get into uni.

    Should I 'neglect' math

Do NOT neglect maths, especially 2umaths since it doesn't scale that well compared to mx1 and mx2. Plus, you need it for your uni course, you should treat it seriously since day 1. You don't want to turn out to be those who end up struggling in uni and doing those bridging courses and paying...

    Repeat hsc?

This. If you did not work hard and still manage a 95, then you obviously have potential to do well the second time around. Whereas if 95 was your best effort, then please forgo the idea of repeating. Transferring at university is Highly competitive, you're not the only one who thinks of...

    Repeat hsc?

I agree. Leffie might not have awfully strict parents. It is very HARD NOT to let awfully strict parents not dictate what you do. Sometimes they will NOT understand your decision and want you to go by their way. And trust me, it is very difficult and takes hell lot of effort to persuade them.

    Repeat hsc?

Repeating is a two-edged sword. It might work for some, but it wouldn't work for others. If you're being forced to repeat by your parents, and it's not because it is what you want, you're highly unlikely to do well again because it's not what you want but it's what your parents forced you into...

    Educators acknowledge HSC flaws

I agree. You have to be like the best of the best as a dancer in order to survive, but you can be average in engineering and still make a living.

    2013 HSC Results/ATAR banter!

Finally heard something decent and reasonable after all this while. When people say that HSC "isn't be all end all", "there're many alternative pathways" etc etc.---it's pretty much rubbish. If you don't get the marks, you're pretty much gone and there isn't much chance after that to redeem...

Is it hard to get a high ATAR with my subjects?

Although you don't do physics, all your subjects scale well anyway. So just ace them and get band 6 in all of them and you'll know that 99.65-99.7 is on your plate.

This has links to all the tafe's in NSW and just attend their info session to know more about it. https://www.tafensw.edu.au/howex/servlet/Course?Command=GetCourse&CourseNo=1936 There are slackers as well as people who get 99+ in tafe, it really depends on you in the end. If you rank high, ie...

HSC at Tafe Vs. HSC at school

At Tafe you can do year 11 and 12 within one year. Another difference is that there isn't uniforms and assembly's like school and less school activities to participate in. This website has the links to tafe's that offer HSC...

    What's the deal with Arts?

You just happen to be the lucky few who can get somewhere out of an arts degree, however, a majority of those doing arts are not that lucky to find a job after grad or ended up going nowhere with arts.
