Using extension 1 formulas/methods in mathematics?

I'm basically talking about EVERYTHING haha. Circle geometry and binomial theorem were just the ones that I've noticed. Either way, I'll restrict myself to 2 unit stuff unless I absolutely need to use 3 unit just to be safe.

Using extension 1 formulas/methods in mathematics?

I'm sure this has been asked before but... Are we allowed to use it? Like Binomial Theorem and Circle geometry. I've come across possible uses a few times but have always stuck to the 2 unit way of doing it. However, if I did use the 3 unit method (if I forget another way to do it or something)...

How long does it take you?

During trials I only just finished with about 10-15 minutes left. Made so many stupid mistakes. All the marks I lost were from stupid mistakes except for a part of a question or two. I even copied an entire question down wrong (the equations and whatever). I got 103/120 though, but damn that...

How will my cohort make a difference to my atar???

Just get first in all your subjects. I go to a school ranked between 500-600 and we've had someone with an ATAR of 98 or something. Just try your best and get high ranks.

    If I have 11 units...

Alright then. Thank you for your time!

    If I have 11 units...

Ok then. But what exactly is a unit of work for each subject? Like, how do they decide on which unit to discard? Is half the test 1 unit, and the other half the second unit (but not particularly the first and second half of the test itself, rather, it's all mixed up), and then whichever unit you...

    If I have 11 units...

What defines each unit in a 2 unit subject? Is half the course one unit and the rest the second? Or do they halve your mark from the test or something?

    If I have 11 units...

I actually do 13, but for the sake of keeping everything simple, if I have 11 units, 1 being MX1, and I do well enough in MX1 that it's going to contribute to my ATAR, how do they split up my the other subject? I'm just curious.

Anyone have any regrets about not studying a certain syllabus point enough?

This... however, I knew what was under the headings... I wrote: Introduction System Context (which was actually part of the second section I believe) And System Requirements... I also listed some of the aspects of each heading to get my point across... :\

ITT: People who actually liked english

I really enjoyed English + my class. I've enjoyed it since year 9. HOWEVER, I hated studying for English. Remembering so many quotes to make sure I would cover a wide range of possible questions... ughh... memory is not my greatest characteristic...

    Information Techonology was a joke...

Re: It I too wrote in report format after seeing it was pretty open. Wasn't sure if it was correct to do so but whatever. IT probably won't go towards my ATAR anyway since I do 13 units. Wrote 6 pages for section 3. Can't remember about the other one though.

    How did everyone go?

It went alright. I didn't know what to put for question 3 multichoice though about the information the council so I put "the people the information regarded". Also the bluetooth multichoice. All I knew about it was that it had a frequency thing of 2.4Ghz or something... I put low bandwidth and...

    HSC 2008, Question 26 - Planning

Discuss the effects of an appreciation of the Australian dollar on Australia’s internal and external stability. In your answer, use the economic information provided. My plan was: 1.Define Exchange rate + Give method of measure + trade-weighted index 2.Explain how appreciation occurs with...

    When you explain quotes...

Should you basically be explaining the affect on the audience? E.g. in "Richard III", Richard is described using beast-like imagery, depicting how "his venom tooth will rankle to the death". This imagery reflects Richard's Machiavellian nature and gives the audience a sense of ambitious...

How do I plan this out?

Thank you so much! This is will help me greatly! I use to always get top marks for my essays, but the questions were a lot more simple and stuck to one topic/situation (e.g. unemployment). Then we got a question like this in our trials. I wrote about 7 pages on it because I wasn't sure what to...

How do I plan this out?

If you don't really know the content of a subject....

Like everyone else has said, memorise first, then do past papers. If you have very little time for the subject, then just memorise at least. Doing papers without knowing the content won't get you anywhere because you don't have the content in your mind to recall in the first place.
