Transferring into applied finance/commerce- prof accounting

Assuming that you did your HSC last year, that would mean you have only done a semester of university. Am I correct? In that case, both your ATAR and uni marks will be considered. A WAM of 78 is pretty solid and provided that you have a good ATAR, you would have a pretty good chance.

    Rudd or Gillard?

I would vote Liberal if Turnbull was leader. He doesn't have that negative attitude and has an economic vision.

    ACST101 Unit Requirements Quiz

No worries mate. The unit requirements quiz is testing you on the actual unit itself for e.g. number of tutorials you have to attend. Derivatives is something you learn later in the unit (in elements if I recall correctly).

    ACST101 Unit Requirements Quiz

Hi Obsequious The unit requirements quiz is a piece of cake. All the answers are in the unit guide. With hard work and revision, this unit shouldn't be too difficult for you.

    Piano obession

I'm not sure if it alters your intelligence, but it definitely keeps your stress levels down and enables you to perform at your peak academically. Just curiously, are you learning from a teacher or self-taught?

which uni is more prestigious: MACQ OR UTS??????

As avro said, it depends on the degree chosen. In terms of business/commerce degrees MACQ has a slight edge over UTS in terms of prestige. But if you are talking engineering, UTS would definitely outclass MQ. Can't really comment on science, arts and the like.

    ACCG100 vs ACCG106 What's the differece?

From what I know, ACCG100 (Accounting 1A) is a must for students intending to major in accounting. It is a platform for ACCG101 (Accounting 1B). On the other hand, ACCG106 is more for non-accounting students and it gives them the rough foundations. This one is easier I believe.

The cutoff for B Actuarial Studies is yet to be released. I'd imagine it would be in excess of 95.

    About Volunteering

Places like St Vincent De Paul and Anglicare also accept volunteers on a daily basis. I have personally volunteered for both these places and they are not too bad.

CA Program - Ask questions, get answers! (new and improved)

From the degrees you have named, I presume you are referring to Macquarie University? In that case, I would recommend you do BCom - Prof Accting simply because that degree is accredited by CA. As for what a chartered accountant is, I'll leave that to someone more qualified on this forum :)

    Subjects for Diagnostic Radiography!

All courses tend to build on the things you have accumulated in secondary school. I don't think you'll find it difficult (provided that you work hard) if you didn't take Physics but it would give you a head start if you did.
