    Which is the easier unit- accg350, acc352, accg353, econ360 or FIN328

Nope LAW315 has a closed book final exam- although im pretty sure u can take in 2x A4 pages. Equity is now taught by Peter Radan although Shaynes lecture notes are on blackboard atm so maybe he uses them.

    Which is the easier unit- accg350, acc352, accg353, econ360 or FIN328

hey guys, just to reply- I am actually doing the following units- LAW315 LAW317 ECON204 and the final 1 I am still deciding. i just did ACCG252 and found it okay except for the exam- I finished with a 62 which I was happy with considering the very low average for the unit. I have...

    Which is the easier unit- accg350, acc352, accg353, econ360 or FIN328

hey guys, I'm in a bit of a dilemma- I study law and commerce (Finance) and have transferred which has stuffed up the order I can take units in- I am more inclined to enter into law than commerce . Anyway I have to choose 1 300 level finance unit to do this semester (D2). I have been...

Commerce @ Macq - How can I PREPARE for this course?

im a 3rd year law/ commerce (finance) student. I did 2 unit Maths- not brilliant at it but I got through. the maths involved is not difficult but its application is. there are some units which contain some very difficult maths, so I would definately suggest doing 1 of those maths courses the...

If you get distinctios for all assessments?

asylum is correct. Almost all unit outlines will have some clause stating 'the unit convenor has the right to alter marks'- basically this allows them to scale the marks up ...or down if they choose. Scaling down is unlikely, I have never had it occur although i'd never really know because...

    Should i bother doing law

Im assuming you want to work in the economics field? If so, I think a law degree would certainly look favourably, as many top firms in any field like law students because they know they have good written communication and I think the ability to do sound research would also look favourably...

    Law worth doing?

Interestingly you would be combining law with science. I am not sure about how many fields actually combine the two, but i'm sure there would be a niche somewhere. I think doing law/science to become a lawyer is a bit pointless, considering ALOT of lawyers come from simply doing law/arts etc...

Which would be better on your gpa?

yeah i probably would of got a HD if i didnt write 3 answers for 1 question. I got stuck on the 'which formula to apply', i thought i'd do them all then cross some out haha. they have changed the textbook this sem, so everyones opinion about the textbook is basically not applicable.

FML my sem 1 2011 timetable is a piece of shit thread

no unit outlines have been released yet, not via blackboard or on the 'unit outlines' webpage. Its such a pain for people who enrol in alot of classes starting Monday, who won't be prepared. I know its the first week but still, its good to have an understanding anyway. on a different note...

    To double major or not?

They are the truest words every spoken. Its funny how they teach business on a 'medium to large' scale, which basically implies it is an international business, like McDonalds rather than Joes Fish and Chips down the road.

Which would be better on your gpa?

Stat170 is pretty basic, its not very hard at all BUT... you need to attend your lecture and all your classes. You buy a textbook *quite useless* and a folder. The folder has EVERYTHING very clearly of what you need to know, its basically the entire semesters lecture slides. I ended up with a...

    Uws law or maq law?

it depends. the longer you leave it, the more likely it is that you will not get as much credit for previous study. For instance, I transferred after 1st year and got 7/8 units credited. If u transfer, you basically have to try and argue your way to get credited. It is far easier in core...

combined law - finishing law first?

this is interesting for me. I transferred and fell behind in some of my finance units. So basically, after people and planet, I will have 2-3 units left in my comm degree but will be on par to finish law. This interests me as if i was allowed to graduate from law without completing those 2-3...

Law at Macquarie or UTS? (plz don't bring UNSW or USYD into this, thankyou)

I go to MQ for law, so I'm probably being bias. just in regard to UTS having a more active law society, I totally disagree. MULS at MQ is excellent, it is one of it's prime assets for law students and to be honest I dont think many law student bodies in Australia come close. I wouldnt worry...

    Uws law or maq law?

what was written above is 100% correct and very important in making this decision. I also transferred and i now drive about 30-40 minutes extra everyday, however I feel im going to a better place, MUCH better campus (I was at parra), much better uni, it is far more highly regarded than UWS. in...
