No, it is not assumed knowledge. You are incorrect. You don't need to do Chemistry or a Chemistry bridging course for any undergraduate medicine course in NSW. You will not be disadvantaged by not doing Chemistry.

If the calculus in the Mathematics course is easy, is the calculus in the Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2 courses much more intense? What would make it more difficult?
Legal does not have bad scaling. It has relatively good scaling when compared to several other subjects - Hospitality, Food Technology, General Mathematics, Senior Science, etc.
For JCU and Monash University, Mathematics and Chemistry are prerequisite subjects. There are no prerequisite subjects for undergraduate medicine in NSW though.
