Difference between HSC and trial marks??

It does make sense? How can I possibly say to myself "oh I need a HSC mark of say 92 in mathematics" when I have no idea at all what sort of raw marks I would need to be looking at to do this. I am curious as to how big or small the link is between trial and HSC marks so I can set myself a...

Difference between HSC and trial marks??

Hey thanks guys, this gives me a bit of an idea where I should be heading in terms of marks. I'm suprised how considerable the jump has been for some subjects though.

Just A Little Advice To High Achievers

I have 2 fairly low scaling subjects (PDHPE and Bio) and I am not worried, all I know is that I have to achieve decent marks in these subjects.

what's the reason for a guy to push a girl away?

Well its probably the same reason anyone pushes someone away. Probably sick of the relationship for many reasons (likes someone else, she's smothering or annoying him, unsure about commitment) and the list goes on and on.....

    Study Guides?

For maths, instead of using study guides I would recommend buy the Fitzpatrick books for 2 and 3 unit and the Cambridge 3 unit book. The Excel "50 exam tips" for 2 and 3 unit are also very helpful I have found.

Question about dropping from Advanced to Standard(English)

If you go searching there is a document (either on BOS or the UAC website) which shows the highest UAIs which people achieve doing certain subjects. You will find that with almost any subject you can achieve a UAI of 99.95 or 100, if you think you can do better in standard then go for it!

Re: Mindmaps for everything?? Mind maps are great for summarising and can be very useful I agree, however using the syllabus as the core for all your notes is the way to go I have found. Just use the syllabus dot-point as the heading and make a few notes, from there maybe you could make mind...

    Excel Guides

I have become quite a fan of the Macquarie guides. Very clear and concise and relate straight to the syllabus. They also have some very useful questions with worked answers.

Re: 2008SC SC Results ~ I agree with you 100% The SC counts for zilch seriously. What is the point in inflating your marks when the only one your kidding is yourself?

    Changing Schools Mid Year?

Hey, I was wondering what happens if someone were to change schools during the middle of the HSC course? If anybody has any experience with this, how did the school(s) carry across the marks and rankings from one school to the other? Is this even possible? Thanks :)

What is everyone doing in the holidays?

Whoa Namu you are going to be fit! :D What sort of exercise are you doing? I forgot to mention that I want to return to my usual exercise routine which was normally a jog or bike ride for about 45 minutes every afternoon.

    Bad Teachers

For subjects which are mainly content based (PDHPE, Biology) it is quite easy for a student to "teach themselves" so to speak. However for something like Extension Maths I believe that has to be some level of student and teacher interaction.
