Inasero: Yeah thats me... What are the chances of getting into med after taking an undergrad degree for first year or something.. Eg, take medical science then apply med in 2006? Is that better than just taking a whole year off just to re-sit umat?

What do guys thing would be the better option if I failed med because of UMAT: 1. Take one year off, and re-sit UMAT in 2005 2. Do an undergrad course, eg. Medical Science Btw what are the chances of getting in if you take a bachelor's degree in 2005?

I screwd up my UMAT.. guess theres no hope for me at Adeliade if UMAT's the first descriminator...

Are you serious?? How do u know? I though it would be impossible to get 100UAI with a band 5 in english... ><

For all tha Past HSC students.... Is it possible to score a perfect UAI with a band 5 in english? What if u get say 99% in everything else?

Inasero, Seriously.. I have no time for anything... I guess I am bad at time management... How did u manage to do all that, while at the same time trying to do well in ur Exams and assessments.. U must be a genius! I think i better rely on my past achievements from 2 years back.. Iv done...

I think its best to be honest in the interviews... Interviews are a personality contest, not a "whos got the most qualifications" contest, isnt it? And being in such a nervous state, if they come back to ask about ur qualifications, you might say the wrong stuff and ur GONE...!

But you know, HSC is a hectic year, and to get those High UAI and UMAT marks, theres dedication and time sacrifice.... How do they expect work experiences and other stuff? Thats the problem I have this year... i Have no time to do anything else... But i guess in my prior years, Id did some...

I have a question for those who know alot about "getting in" Are extracurricular activities, (eg. sports, work-experience, music) important if ur trying out for med? I mean, Isn't high UAI, UMAT scores and excellent interview, good enough?
