When do you start hard out studying?

Not for a while yet. Time for a piss-up first m8.

    Cool Things.

I cried when I realised I finally understood calculus. I was over at a friends place last night and he showed me some cool stuff to do with pascal's triangle. For example, if you write it out and then circle all the odd numbers, the pattern created is Sierpinski's triangle. If you read the...

The University of Sydney Open Day - 25 August

m8. Everything. Not only does he know his stuff, but he's more than happy to share his vast knowledge with anyone and everyone, which he's incredibly good at doing. He's also absolutely hilarious.

The University of Sydney Open Day - 25 August

I went to maffs, advanced science/tsp and dr karl. The seats in the maths lecture were god-awful. I'm fairly average height and they were terribly uncomfortable. Also, I was sitting right behind Spiralflex and another BoSer who I think was nightweaver came and sat there too. Walked past...

Dr Pepper's "I had good ranks and screwed them with trials" Club

Cheers dude, just following in your footsteps :p (Although to be fair, our cohort is terrible in comparison to yours, especially for maffs)

Can you get marked down for not answering questions with a particular answer?

I would say in this case, that's legit because if you used every other cooling technique but didn't laminate the core it'd still overheat. I'd disagree in other circumstances though.

Dr Pepper's "I had good ranks and screwed them with trials" Club

I've experienced something like it before, but never this bad. Examples of things that were said include: "Now, when you get these results, I'm expecting there'll be a few tears. To be honest, you deserve it." and "I could've retired last year and I'd be making $330 more per fortnight, but...

how much extra study is really needed for 4u?

I didn't increase my maths study in year 12 in comparison to year 11. In fact, over the past 2 months or so I've probably been doing less than what I was doing in year 11.

    CSSA Cafs - State rank?

Aim for it anyway, you've obviously got the potential to.

    Fuckery in my trials

This is maths. There shouldn't be any of this "most correct answer" bullshit. It's either right or wrong. EDIT: That came across as quite harsh, just for the record I'm not attacking you, but whoever wrote the exam.

Dr Pepper's "I had good ranks and screwed them with trials" Club

Topped MX1 and MX2, which I was hoping for. Did fairly decently in music practicals. Still got aural left, but hopefully I'll hold on to my rank. Teacher said I'm well on the way to a band 6. Bombed legal. That being said, everyone else did, so I ended up coming 3rd. Teachers are pissed as...

    Truongs???

    your point?

What mark are you aiming for raw?

Realistically, I know I'm not going to get it, but I'm aiming for 100. Why aim for anything less?
  15. Nooblet94

If you receive marks you don't like, how do you make yourself feel better?

FUARK. That sounds like the greatest motivator ever. Too bad I'm finished trials already :( In all seriousness though, I've never got marks I don't like. yr 7-10 I didn't care at all and I've done decently in every senior assessment.

Dr Pepper's "I had good ranks and screwed them with trials" Club

Had physics today and got so damn lucky. Only knew about 80% of the overall content, but in the actual exam there was only about 10 marks of stuff I didn't know, and I managed to BS them, so hopefully that's enough to keep first.

    Sittin on the toilet.

    I visualised that. And lol'd.

    Question pl0x

Yeah, exactly. Considering that schools pay loads of money for these papers, you'd think the answers would be 100% correct.

    Question pl0x

That's what I got too. It's from a CSSA paper and the solutions I'm using are the official CSSA ones but they're saying 50kg, which seems absolutely incorrect unless I'm reading the question terribly wrong (it's happened before)
