    what's more important--rank or marks?

As long as you do your best and acheive your full potential there is no need to worry about your rank or your marks. Thats the job of the HSC markers and the BOS.

    Most Interesting Subject

I would say PDHPE, the current topic we are doing which is the body in motion I find extremely interesting. Maths is a very easy subject to keep interest in because there will always be harder problems and new concepts.

    Should i drop bio?

Same with me, the content for Bio is MASSIVE and really really boring. I have a mild interest in what we do in Chemistry. I'm thinking of dropping Bio at the moment and picking up 4u English. It's my worst subject.

    Memorising Essays

it won't even get you good marks in the HSC, markers can tell when students memorise essays besides if you dont answer the specific question in the exam then you lose a large portion of marks. Remembering techniques and quotes from your texts should be fine.

    Subject Scaling

I was wondering how subjects scale in comparison to each other and then how they translate into a UAI. I know it’s a broad question but I really don’t understand how scaling works or which are the best scaling subjects. Any input would be appreciated :)

    PDH question??

This is a really common question to receive in the prelim exams I have being told. Because it is a very broad question I suggest researching the health of Year 11 students, what are their eating and physical activity patterns? Are they receiving the appropriate amounts of nutrients. Are year...

    Yr 11 performance

I just remembered that some students in my year watched online videos to help them study for subjects with large amounts of content (Bio and Ancient History). They said that it was much more helpful than just reading the textbook and was very refreshing. It's just a thought for those of us who...

How do you study for exams?

The greatest way to study. But seriously make notes, read the textbooks and do practice questions. For English memorise quotes and techniques in your core and related texts.

How many subjects do u hv tuition?

I know I keep telling my parents to stop one of them because I feel it would be more beneficial to spend the money elsewhere. Oh well, it helps alot to be honest.

How will small classes affect my results?

Ok I am in a very very small year group. There are only 20 people in our whole year. I recently received my half yearly report and I am coming first in most of my subjects (Chem, Mathematics, English Adv, English Ext). However my question is how will a small year group affect my HSC results and...
