If you found them in a number theory book, be aware that they might be using alternative and/or stricter definitions than I am. Here's some equivalent code that runs in Python: n = 100 for p in xrange(2, n): could_be_prime = True for d in xrange(2, p): if p % d == 0...

$ $O(..)$ and $o(..)$ $ are notations generally used in asymptotic algorithm analysis for representing the 'cost' of a particular sequence of operations in terms of the amount of time or space they take up. They characterise and group functions based on their growth rates. Formally (I might mess...

    Quick question

Tell him he's wrong. You're in year 12, this isn't primary school. You're allowed to argue back to a teacher. This isn't even subjective, he's just wrong.

lolwut dodgy ass question. A slip ring doesn't create AC current, it transfers it from the brushes to the coil. Also, 'define' is a curious choice of word. It makes more sense as an 'explain'. This question is probably best done through a diagram. Anyway there are two rings, each of them...

I'll have a go. The amount of work a body is capable of performing as a function of the force exerted on it by a gravitational field.

    blackbody concept help

The UV catastrophe wasn't the discrepancy between the prediction and experimental evidence, it was the prediction itself. The idea that intensity would approach infinity as wavelength decreases to 0 was clearly impossible, and yet, contemporary mathematical models based on classical physics...

This is a fundamental game theory problem called Nim. If it's your go, take the bitwise exclusive-or operation of the binary representations of the number of coins in each pile, and and the result will be (iirc) the number of coins you should subtract from a pile. Or something like that, I...

emf is synonymous with potential difference, and is induced as per Faraday's law and Lenz' law. If the circuit is complete or eddy currents can form, then an induced current forms. Back emf is when an externally applied current (usually on a coil) interacts with a magnetic field as per the motor...

Can they test this in the HSC? As far as physics course goes, $ $F_g = mg = \frac{GmM}{r^2}$ $\implies$ $g = \frac{GM}{r^2}$ $. I've never seen any textbooks or notes mention the centrifugal force effects from earth's angular velocity.

    2013 Scripts!

Just a warning: the vast majority of people doing plays will do absurdist plays. Most of those people will receive low marks. Absurdism is not an excuse to have random shit in your play -- if you make it absurdist, be prepared to do a lot of research on the movement. To see an example of...

Worried about 2013 HSC, need advice?

Also, your internal marks are generally a good representation of how you'll do externally. If you put in your best effort the whole way through, and barring strange circumstances, you should get a final mark that very closely resembles your exam mark anyway.
