    Economics raw mark

fine, I'll do the spoonfeeding: it depends every year. usually it aligns to around 90. e.g. 2013 - 85 raw aligned to 91.

    BOSTES 4U conspiracy??

And, although the 2 Qs are not identical, what do you guys think about the theory (which is widely held) that "a HSC Q will never identically pop up again in a future HSC paper"??

    CAD during GFC

+1 Could also maybe even talk about how China and co. kept on growing strong - largely unphased by the GFC - and thus their demand for our exports esp. commodities held strong, thus contributing to the BOGS surplus and thus the reduction of the magnitude of the CAD

    3u in 2u?

this! same goes with 3U. 3U HSC is generally written such that it prevents 4U students from implementing such an unfair advantage of being able to utilise a much quicker method that is only taught in 4U.

    Economics Marathon 2014 anyone???

hmm a sorta wishy-washy answer, which sorta doesn't go anywhere nor hit the Q much. nothing you really say is wrong. but it reads like info dump, with a dodgy link here or there to the Q. try to make sure your response hits the Q and shapes your answer. not dumping some info and then trying to...

    Economics Marathon 2014 anyone???

Overall, quite a good answer. Packs a good punch and moves from each point to another quite seamlessly. Exhibits the trademark of a band 6 student :) And tries to stay quite close to the Q, which is quite tough. :) Definitely a 4/5 answer - just some inconsistencies in your answers, which I have...

    Economics Marathon 2014 anyone???

Some feedback :) * the bolded part is too specific and is probably wrong. there may be some deregulation that has happened prior, but we don't know about it. so don't make any sort of generalisation like that, which can annoy the marker. * you've largely answered the Q as if it was asking...

Carret, I think there is a typo with Q16 b) v).... Shouldn't your definition of b be such that b is the length of the semi-minor axis? You define it as the length of the minor axis, which should be 2b, no? Tell me if I'm wrong :)
