I think the honours policy is still the same.
Just got confirmation for the completion of my B Com LLB program - got honours second class. (WAM 75.89 for Law)
The information posted by Jellz was also in the 2008 yearbook. I could not find anything relating to the LLB Hons policy in the 2009 yearbook. (I might have overlooked something)
I would add one other thing for first class hons., you need at least a Credit in your research unit in addition to...
Thats a tough question....
Out of the 85% (I assume this figure is correct), how many are on track to where they want to be?
e.g. A B Com graduate working in one of the Big 4/accounting firm or commerce related area that is relevant to their degree.
It would be misleading if some B Commerce...
You are too modest....you just killed most of the competition with those marks and activities.
If you put together an average resume and cover letter articulating those activities and achievements, there is a good chance you will make it to the first round.
A good personality and strong...
UAI: 91
first year grades - 5 Distinctions and 3 Credits (ECON110, 111,141, ACCG 100 and 101, STAT170, ISYS123, ACST101)
I successfully transferred.
I have heard students with lower UAI and grades get in.
LAW 406 Business Organisations 88 HD
LAW 423 Intellectual Property Law 76 D
LAW 500 Litigation 75 D
First HD in law......most of my marks are borderline distinctions anyway
Overall WAM for whole double dgree 79.88
WAM for LAW - 75.89
Overall GPA - 3.65
GPA for...
Hopefully, this will be the last time I'll have to check my results......already started full time work as a graduate and God forbid I fail anything.....
I am going to resurrect this thread. The judgment has been handed down and the student is not guilty by reason of mental illness.

This is a guide that is on Yale Law School's website....not sure if the billing system is similar in Australia.

BUSL is from the ECFS/BESS department and not from Macq Law School.
Some law students view it as a watered down version of several law units crammed into a fob/cashcow-friendly manner.
Just a question, does anyone know whats the progression or attrition rate after finishing the graduate program.....i.e. welcomed into the firm after your graduate rotations?
Textbooks - usually 400-500 a semester
Stduey - they expect 9 hours per subject per week (including lecture and tutorials)
I cant say much about the Arts side of things,
The mark falls within a grade band 65-74 75-84 etc. This band represents a qualitative assessment e.g. satisfactory, substantially above expectation etc. etc.
e.g. In law, getting 70 doesn't mean you got 70 marks out of possible 100. It means your performance is substantially above what a...
Re: MQ General chatter and timetables thread (+ Conception Day!)
In the past 9 semesters, I have never used the library's photocopier and print facilities ever. Surprisingly, I have enver found the need to use those facilities....
Usually 1 subject = 3CP...they expect that 1CP = 3 contact/study hours - so 9 hours per subject per week (No one I know spends so much time on it...)
If your a HD/D average type:
2 Hour lecture/week
1 Hour tute
that leaves 6 hours for your own study:
1:30-2 hours in doing the...

Theres alot of commerce related degrees related. Have a look for yourself.
When you say worthwhile and what is it like, what do you mean exactly? is it worthwhile for a corporate law career? learning experience? just the general atmosphere?
