10 units- whats the big deal?

Well, it's not that i havent 'tried' EE2. I sort of cheated and started in the holidays leading up to year 12. Ive got about half a journal full, a decided concept, have written my proposal and have started to devise the MW already. Art i started early as well, and my drama IP is looking pretty...

10 units- whats the big deal?

No, it is a big deal. They aren't letting me do what i want! I am being forced to do two empty units that are going to be a complete waste of time!!

10 units- whats the big deal?

HONESTLY! My dean of studies has decided that doing 10 units including 4 unit English is a massive risk. Okay, I get it. It IS a massive risk. An incredibly massive risk, actually. But the thing is, i'm willing to take that risk. I love my subjects (Art, Music, Drama, Adv English & Ext...

    Extension 2 English Thoughts: Poetry.

The effects of consumerism on society. It isn't exactly solid yet, but it should be fun. I'm really looking forward to the course. :] Yeah my teacher was like HA! POETRY! Then he read some of my poetry and changed his mind. If he likes it hopefully that's a good start. What's yours?

Opinions on my concept for an essay?

Oh and this is for either an Extension 1 essay for our topic (we have to make up our own concept relating to the topic) or an Extension 2 Poetry idea. Thanks!

Opinions on my concept for an essay?

Consumerism has effected our generation so profoundly to the point where humanity’s perception of ‘perfection’ has been distorted. As a byproduct of this, our generation is growing up accustomed to blaming natural, humanistic faults on material things, more through the uncontrolled ignorance in...

    2009 EE2 Rollcall.

HEY! There's 6 in our class, but i reckon there will be 3 by the end of it. I'm doing postmodern poetry focussing on the effects consumerism has on society (the distortion of perfection, disregard of tradition etc.) I'm mainly doing poetry because i know i can't extend my thinking for long...

    Help, Standard/Advanced English Question

If you work your butt off (like..truly) you can probably achieve good marks. It would be better to do averagely in Advanced than do average in Standard. And you do alot of the same things anyway.

Did anyone else bludge through the entire of Year 11?

Bludged my face off. Then i studied really really hard for my yearly exams so i could do the subjects i wanted to in year 12. I reckon it's a sick philosophy to the whole concept of year 11. Only try when it counts.

    Extension 2 English Thoughts: Poetry.

http://www.future-perfect.co.uk/grammartips/grammar-tip-focussed-focused.asp Go play in traffic. And i think you mean to say "with a double s", instead of "with a double ss". A double ss would be a quadruple s, meaning i would have spelt the words focussssing. Which is definitely not how it's...

    Starting HSC work?

Re: Have you started hsc work yet? I'm going to have 5 major works, so ive already started researching, journalling, writing and doing assessments for my ee2 (as i decided this would require the most time) so i can have it finished early, and only have 4 to worry about. I doubt that will...

    Process of dropping your subject

At my school, we have this massively long discussion about dropping subjects with our Dean of Studies (this is insanely boring, and basically it's a counseling session with an a-hole). Anyway if you want to drop down to 10 units (like me), they actually won't let you. I have gone to my Dean of...
