Kfc must read 4 ur health

you caught me. sexual favours are the bomb. noooo, i knew how to make coffee on an industrial machine when i started so i automatically became a supervisor rather than a junior. so yeah. if i was a junior i'd be getting paid around $11 i think..?

IP Performance: How are you progressing?

All those doing IP Performance, what are you up to? I've written my 3rd draft (yes, i wrote my own monologue. well, sort of. it's based on a story from a book, so i guess i've sort of co-written it.) and have sorted my props. Thinking i should try and learn it now. Where's everyone at?

Ted Hughes - The Birthday Letters

Did this module first term last year. It was the funnest module i've done in ages. If you're doing Ted Hughes then the whole thing's based around the divorce of Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath, and how their conflicting perspectives on their relationship and each other are shown through their...

Re: Public School vs. Private everyone just be happy you don't go to a small 'independent' school. none of the responsibilities or facilities of a private school. everyones cashed up and careless. i'm on a scholarship, and people feel so bad for my meagre existence they give me money. like...

Kfc must read 4 ur health

Wow. My job at Gloria Jeans seems so tame now. If anyone was an asshole, all i could do would be..like..put full cream milk in their latte instead of soy or something. Or use decaf grind. BAHAHA.

    Who does Musicianship??

I've got to say, i found theory alot harder, having done both. But i enjoyed Musicianship more. Not sure why. Maybe because it felt easier and less of a strain.

    Romanticism

Nuh-uh! Try 'Turn of the Screw' by Henry James. That was one of our Year 11 texts. Disgusting. Just... disgusting. It was like molesting your eyes with sandpaper. Horrible.

Music 2 Performance Elective -- freaking out

i got convinced that performance elective would be fun. ekkccchhhh. im doing: Core: 'In My Father's Eyes' - Elena Kats-Chernin (who ive met!!) 1900-1945:'It Ain't Necessarily So' from the opera 'Porgy and Bess' by Gershwin 1900-1945: 'Come away, Death' an art song by Gerald Finzi. I'm a...

    Who does Musicianship??

I did musicianship up to 3rd grade. And theory up to 4th grade. I had a verging-on-mental-illness teacher who decided she would teach me both. And that i would do the exams for both. I ended up doing one more grade of theory. Who knows why.

Do You Like The Current AOS?

It depends how far you go into it. I got myself caught up in the whole concept of belonging to the point where i was contradicting myself because i was trying to accept notions of belonging and not belonging at the same time (doublethink? lol to anyone who did 1984 in year 11). But yeah, i...

Attention: those who dropped Ext 1 cause of Romanticism [Austen/Bronte]

I have read Twilight. Only the first novel. I don't hate it, but i can't say i loved it. You hit the nail on the head when you said 'average'. Twilight IS designed as a story for an average teenage audience, which is exactly why it can't be incorporated into education! It seems noone wants to...

    Romanticism

I think Possession is actually fairly easy. I've read it twice now, and both times found it firstly a good read, and secondly really easy (and fun..?) to rip apart and extract symbols, metaphors and evidence of romantic thinking. I love the idea of romantic writing in a postmodern structure. I'd...

How much have you written so far? Freaking a little.

see, this is why i chose poetry. there is no stress whatsoever as to how many words you need to write, because the length and amount of poems in itself is an artistic statement. ive written about 1100 words (that took me ages! all poems in seperate documents :P) which equates to 9 poems. And i'm...

    Is extension 2 english easy?

I'm not sure that you can wonder whether EE2 is 'easy' or not. If you choose to do something that's fairly hard to construct with limited research material, then it will be hard. But as people have shown, you can rely wholly on complete BS and your own creative/analytical writing to see you...

How did u go in ur proposal?

18/20 which was second, and i was happy with. Although i asked why i didn't get 19 and another girl didnt. Purely out of curiosity. His answer? 'The other girl's had humour.' Oh. Okay then.

    HSC POETS 09! Unite!

AHHHH BELONGING! Yeah, although i have written some goodies after not thinking i was wholly inspired, and just 'going with the flow'. It all depends on your style really. And just the way you work.

    HSC POETS 09! Unite!

I didn't really use any texts on poetic structure etc, as i knew what i wanted to do (structurally) from the get go. I'd just go to your local library and type 'poetry' into their database. I definitely saw some at my local library (Warringah) when i was looking for Australian poetry. Theres...
