    i do both + art which means 3 major works if you love doing your own research and making your own decisions instead of following a boring syllabus i highly reccomend you do both

    yeah that's because majority of the smarter kids do advanced if they did standard they would be getting band band5/6 without putting in as much effort eg for module B standard - close study advanced - critical study ie close study plus context, perspectives, critics etc etc therefore easier to...

    Re: Historians lol dennett should never be quoted he is a history teacher, NOT a historian also some of the textbook writers are markers, so when you quote them, particularly when you quote them wrong, it makes you look foolish

    it's a lot easier to get band 5/6 in standard because you are not required to do as much as in advanced

    no the ancient syllabus is much bigger you can't study modern history without reading about previous periods notable example: Communist Russia you need to understand the Hegel dialect, Russia's social and cultural history, the Industrial Revolution etc etc to understand many of events/policies...
