    uai prediction :)

Some idea of your marks would be helpful too. It's difficult to get a real idea of the UAI without them although I think you might be stretching it with 95ish.

    Dropping a subject

Do not listen to your mother. My mother made me do math in yr 12. It was hell. She now periodically apologises for it. It might be different in your case but still.

    Dropping a subject

You've got 13 units. You can afford to drop 1-2 units. If you hate math that much and won't use it again I would say drop it. Your other subjects won't scale terribly. Vis. Arts is probably the worst but again, if you're doing well in everything then drop what will stress you out most.

Another reason why god doesn't exist

Hey. One thing: She's a counsellor. Teenagers with problems go to her. Thus any kids who are gay and are counselled by her are automatically going to have problems. It's not a fact, it's a result of the work she does.

"So far we’ve heard that Chemical Brothers are the hot tip." Nice.

Need help with finding a book, please

I wouldn't say so. More that the rest of the book is set previous to the prologue. I'm not sure the Lovely Bones is a "circular" novel.

Need help with finding a book, please

Great Gatsby for the first one. We see the book through Nick Carraway's eyes but it's all about Jay and Daisy. We get their characters from his narration. For the second one, something where the prologue gives away the ending... You know like you find out someone's dead in the beginning and...

HARRY POTTER & THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - thoughts (SPOILERS!!)

EDIT: I can't be bothered arguing over fan fic. I've done it too much in the past few months. I find that it's frustrating because people put fan fic on par with the original when it's not. You apparently like it. I don't. We have different reasons for that.

HARRY POTTER & THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - thoughts (SPOILERS!!)

Eh. I've read it. I'm not saying this without something behind me. I've read fanfic and it's not pretty. One of the most difficult, time consuming and creative parts of writing a story is the character and the canon. Taking that from another medium is taking most of the creativity out of...

Another reason why god doesn't exist

I know, because Judeo-Christian morals are common sense things that came out of creating a civilized society that uses rules to restrict chaos. I'm serious. I can't really talk about Christianity and the Bible anymore. It's just doesn't work for me because it sort of makes me throw up a...

It won't be that bad especially if you do well in your other subjects but still aim to kill it.

    Uai Help

Just keep studying and kill the HSC. Don't think that just because you're doing well now that you can slack off. Also, it feels better when you beat friends in subjects. Lots better.

Another reason why god doesn't exist

Yes but you're speaking about this in "Christian" terms [religion is not a derogatory term but whatever floats your boat]. At the same time though, how could they profess to be Christian if they do commit such acts? They're completely rejecting their faith by doing this. Some of them even...

    Uai Help

Good ranks and marks. You could definitely get your goal. Keep studying and try to beat that kid in Extension English. General maths might bring you down a bit.

Another reason why god doesn't exist

You're basing all of this on people being religious or agreeing to acquiesce to religious ideals. What about people who reject that?

English Extension 1: Finding a Marxist and/or Feminist Reading of Dorian Gray.

It's not relevant. It's criticism of the recent studies done by people on the nineteenth century. It had a promising opening paragraph but really doesn't relate to the nineteenth century, it's more about the current research being done. I've searched around but I can't find anything that...

Another reason why god doesn't exist

Okay. Straight off the bat I'm iffy about you using such a religious term as "Sin" because it's difficult to define it without being subjective. That is being done though. Take so-called "sin" on wherever it is. If it's in the Catholic Church then they need to answer to it because that's...

English Extension 1: Finding a Marxist and/or Feminist Reading of Dorian Gray.

Try searching for something with Gothic Fiction. That's the generally accepted genre for Dorian Gray and as such you might get more hits that way.
