    I had a BOS encounter!

What does a Led Zepplin shirt look like? :S *is a listener of heathen commercial music* Take a photo of yourself in it - showing your face of course, in case the T-shirt is too hard to memorise :p

Does anyone else sleep in their car?

Not unless you like the feel of dance shoes digging into your back :S I've been so lazy recently :( All my uni books are in my car, which isn't hugely unusual, but the fact that I now can't be bothered taking my dance shoes out (we're talking at least 5 pairs here, usually I religiously take...

Moved to General Discussion of the 2006 HSC forum :)

    structures!! for the AOS

I was told once that ideally you should integrate ALL your texts within each paragraph (ie being able to link all of them to strong concepts) however it's difficult to do that AND cover the texts in relative depth. Failing that, you should try to look at two texts per paragraph (and your...

Does anyone else sleep in their car?

I might start putting BOS stickers on my passenger seat when I park in C1. IF I am asleep in my car, and IF you find me and gently knock on the window (remember, I will be ASLEEP!) then I will give you a BOS sticker* :) *Only one sticker per person. Offer valid until stocks run out

First year meant to be the hardest?

Heh. ;) I was lucky enough to make that realisation in Yr 12 ;) I refused to work my butt off in order to get the highest UAI possible because I figured that since I wasn't going to change my studying habits for uni, I should just accept whatever UAI I get, and accept the degree (with related...

But also don't fall into the trap of 'reformatting' dot points, but using commas. Example 1: * Shakespeare uses iambic pentameter which keeps a rhythmical nature present through the play. *But this changes when Hamlet speaks. *Hamlet represents a 'new age' man. Example 2...

    Essays

Ease of reading and formal, extended response are two completely different things. Point-form is normally brilliant for notes because you're able to say what you want to say without worrying about integration, style and structure. However an essay requires far more than mere content - the...

Does anyone else sleep in their car?

You serious? I've seen plenty... last semester when I had to rock up at 12 or 1 I used to see a car getting fined at least once a week as I drove around the carpark! So don't worry... it happens! :)

Does anyone else sleep in their car?

Because they're pretty! I don't do it myself, but it's like people collecting their train passes over the years. And EVERYONE should avoid parking in the no-parking areas. Aside from making it hella annoying for the rest of us, you'll get fined ;) Many a time have I seen the security people...

    Breakfast?

I find The Grill isn't too bad... aside from the fact their foods are somewhat really unhealthy :S

    Breakfast?

The one at uni doesn't have ANY smoked salmon dear, it's all raw... Skittled: I rarely go to the sandwich place. Whilst healthy, it's a total ripoff - like $6 for a relatively simple sandwich (eg ham and cheese). For that kind of money, it should have totally organic ingredients and have one of...

So how is everyone going at Macq?

ARTS210 - Arts Practicum: Pretty interesting. The only dud things are 10am monday lectures sometimes (for a monday, this is boring), rushing to excusions (eg Darlinghurst Theatre) for a 10am start, and rushing back from excursions to uni for engl218. Love the corvenor (Guy Morrow) though, and we...

Does anyone else sleep in their car?

Actually, my car almost can :S (maybe a 170 degree angle if I remove the headrests and fiddle a bit). The second row of seats can fold back as well and join the back seats (if I put them up). So it's like a big double bed (almost) on wheels! (it's a green CRV... if that means anything to...

Does anyone else sleep in their car?

I'm really sensitive to mozzie bites so I make a habit of always winding my windows all the way up (this is another reason I always park on ground floor... so it's not boiling hot inside). Oh - and I also make sure I always have a bottle of water in the car. :) And if I'm lucky, chocolate milk...

First year meant to be the hardest?

I totally hear what you're saying there, and that's the reason I am enjoying uni so much more than high school on a social level. Something I just thought of - if there is a mentoring thing at your university, you may want to sign up for one (as in sign up to get a mentor) because they're a...

    Online Resources

HSC Online can be a little hard-core (ie not broken down into nicely digestable chunks) but is usually quite useful leading up to HSC exams: http://hsc.csu.edu.au/ Additionally BOS Resources (http://www.boredofstudies.org/resources.php) has some gems in it as well.

Does anyone else sleep in their car?

Yeah same. I'm pretty sure they sort of look over though... :( Dazed - I think where you park is C1 (and I think that's where I park too). Nice and close to pathway :)

    Breakfast?

lol. I'll consider it. I can survive on brunch but always prefer having a decent breakfast... and nothing beats a decent hot breakfast that isn't as oily as some of the stuff from the grill :( OMG Is there a macca's at Macquarie Centre? If so I may be saved...
