How did you know (for sure) that your course is the one you want to do??

@Tommykins: I'm so afraid of doing that or picking the wrong course because I haven't considered anything higher than about 70 :/ @Aquawhite: What course were you aiming for?? p.s. I was originally looking into Education (primary OR secondary), radiography - with the potential to do post-grad...

How did you know (for sure) that your course is the one you want to do??

So basically I got my ATAR which was a lot higher than I expected (I had plans for getting an ATAR of 60 and then a secondary plan in case i got over 60 but below 70), 87.60 which isn't a lot by this forums standards but i was so stoked. Anyways my question is has anyone actually rethought...

TIPS for getting ur first job for HSC finishers!!!

    1. Get in early; don't wait until December 20th to decide that now would be a good time to pick up work as a Christmas casual. Do, get in around late-Nov/early-Dec when the retail stores will actually have time to train you. p.s. This is also beneficial if you think you bombed your HSC, because...

    Studying for Biology?

imagining that you begin your hsc work tomorrow (from the beginning)... make notes of every syllabus dotpoint using your textbook & hsc online... memorise that information... and do past papers dating back to 2002... you can achieve a mark of about 82, which isn't too bad :)

    Trial past paper- Belonging?

the guy running out doesn't really belong in the house 'cause the dog is trying to run him out & he's carrying a pillow & swag - kind of has no intention of coming back... lady at the door belongs there, feels unthreatened by the environment (evident through facial expression, friendly...

i kind of view study as an escape, if i want to think about how i'm feeling i'll do a studies of religion (nice & breezy) or if i want to block out everything i will do IPT (takes all my concentration... so boring lol). But yeh i'm a bit of a freak like that...

TRIALS -- Is it too late to start writing up notes?

Personally i would say that making notes is a lot more important than doing past papers, last year i started the hsc course for bio at around this time and i found that knowing the information is a lot more important than doing papers which only test a small portion of the entire course. There's...

TRIALS -- Is it too late to start writing up notes?

depends upon how you learn really, i'd be better off writing my own summaries using the textbook and my classwork than doing past papers - which is my plan for studying for my trials which are in week 6-7 :)

    Qantas case study

For Section 4 you're not actually assessed for your ability to write in a business report so you can write it in an essay if you want. Personally i'd rather write it in business report format anyway, its much quicker to write down things using subheadings (and dotpoints) and it shows that you...

    Qantas case study

There's this really great book that breaks down everything you need to know Qantas (in terms of the HSC), definitely worth buying or hiring. Business Case Study - for HSC business studies Qantas & Globalisation - Deregulation of the domestic australian airline industry made the market more...

Which modules do we need related texts for?

You're right :) For Advanced English you need related texts for the Area of Study (Belonging) and for Module C (either conflicting perspectives or history and memory). Generally the BOS says at least TWO texts so i'd go for three just to be sure. For Standard English you need related...

studies of religion .. HELP PLEASE!!!

^^ nor does IPT and you still do it... You shouldn't worry about scaling, just do what you enjoy && don't get stuck in one of those subjects you ace but absolutely hate (like I did in IPT) For the essay I'd just structure it around Christianity's influence in regards to social welfare, rural...
