I have received an offer to B Arts/B Business and Commerce (Marketing) at UWS. I only got offered Arts at UNSW. I plan to major in Psychology for Arts.
UNSW has a Psychological Science degree which allows students to also major in Marketing. I doubt I can get into their Science/Commerce...
LOL. Look at your grammar first before you go rant about something which no one cares about. Once people click away, that's it. No one will remember this s**t you have wasted time on.
If you get decent marks (at least a Credit average), then nothing should stop you. Personally, I went to UWS but got an offer from UNSW this year. I don't think unis care about where the students were from - it's based on academic merit.
Okay, don't just read the title and think "What a dumb question. Of course UNSW!". So here's the deal:
I have an interest in both Marketing and Psychology (they're related any way) so I decided to apply to UWS and UNSW - UWS has a double degree (B Arts/B Business and Commerce) and for UNSW...
Remember that the universities are the ones who look at the applications, not UAC. In the application, there should have been a field where you put in your then-current study details like your uni student number, courses, etc.
Also, UWS has established this new system where current students...
So back in Year 12, I screwed up my marks and got an ATAR which was just sufficient for me to get into UWS. I did a course I didn't entirely enjoy and got a GPA of 4.125 (didn't fail anything) and the following STAT results:
STAT Multiple Choice:
Verbal STAT Score - 142 (30.4 percentile...
A uni is a uni. Just because it is more "regular" compared to ones like USyd or UNSW does NOT make it an excuse for someone to not do well in their course because in the end, it comes down to how much effort you have put in that counts. The uni doesn't make you who you are, it's what you do...
Well, I wanted to transfer from UWS into UNSW but they said I needed to complete at least 0.75 of a year's load of work before I am eligible or they will just look at my HSC results. So I'll have to wait until next year if I want to do anything.
I'm interested in either Psychology at UWS or MQ (UNSW might be too difficult) or Arts/Education at UNSW.
If I were to study Visual Communication for a year, what GPA would I need to maintain in order to be considered? Has anyone here successfully transferred into another university from UWS...
I didn't get the required ATAR to study the course(s) I wanted to so I decided to enrol in B Visual Communication at UWS for a year before trying to transfer.
My goal is to be able to transfer into the B Psychology at UWS (or even better, MQ or UNSW) or the B Arts/Education at UNSW.
How hard...
I don't drink or smoke for your info... my ATAR and my marks don't reflect according to my teachers - due to scaling.
I wouldn't care about looking for ways if I was really a low-life.
My ATAR is REALLY bad - it's in the 50's and I believe I can JUST make it into UWS' B Design course with the bonuses (which I've got no genuine interest in). The course is at their Penrith Campus (it'd take over 2 hours travel to get there for me).
If I wanted to study Education at UNSW or...
Re: Whats the hope for people to get around ATAR 30? There should be some way for the
I suggest redoing the HSC completely ONLY IF you are CERTAIN you will put the extra effort in.
It would be a very big reward and a sense of achievement if you can make the jump from 30.00 to say at least...
