Hey BOS,
I have no idea how deferring works! Here is my dilemma.
I'm currently enrolled in the B Medical Science at UTS (Just finished first year), but have decided that the career path is not right for me. I have just received an offer to B Nursing at UTS and I want to accept it. However is...
Basically report means you need to log onto your Centrelink account and report employment income/other income. There is an option when you are in your centrelink account to report and it's very hard to miss.
I think it's a blue box in the top middle of the screen when you log on. You only...
Thanks for all your replies! I will probably consider Nursing or Paramedic Practice as alternative degrees because of their practicality. I'll definetley be trying every year for Undergraduate so hopefully UMAT treats me well...
I definetley get what your saying. I knew there was no guarantee and I knew the jobs at the end were either as a lab rat or stuck at a desk but still I chose it soley on thinking it was the degree to do if you wanted to do Med. I now realize that this was probably a huge mistake and I didn't...
This year I started Medical Science at UTS. So far I'm enjoying the course and have made heaps of friends.
I was always completely set on Med Science through high school but I started to think the other day about what will happen after if I don't get into Grad Med. I have heard so many stories...
I was looking today on the Opal Card website and children/youth opal cards are now available... Does this card apply for university students with a travel concession or do we need to wait for another card to be rolled out??

If you want to withdraw you better do it ASAP! Census day is tomorrow and you will receive financial penalties. I believe they will be notified but it is more your own initiative to go see the course coordinator before dropping a subject.
If you really feel that it is necessary to get out of there ASAP you could try entry into the Mid-Year intakes. Your ATAR seems good enough for your desired course providing Subject Bonus Points still apply (Which they should?).
I don't think you can change now.
You can transfer out halfway during the year to the other course and they will use your ATAR.
If your ATAR wasn't high enough for the other course you want to do, you will need to wait til the end of the year where they will use your GPA to transfer.
So O'Day is coming up this Wednesday and I wanted to ask which clubs/societies are the best in your opinions. Which organise good events, give a lot of freebies and all that business!
Haha that's awesome, but I'm hoping there will be a few people heading to the station as well... Maybe one equipped with a taser ;)
Also.. Any suggestions on what to do in 4hr breaks?

Overall I'm happy because I have that Wednesday off but that 9am on that Monday will kill me if it's not recorded..
So.. How safe is the central tunnel at 8 and 9pm?

For bulk information units I will probably use my iPad with the bluetooth keyboard and use the app Pages.. For units that require maths, lots of chemical equations and diagrams I will use paper.
No, you just need to fill out HECS-HELP for the course cost and SA-HELP for that student amenities fee. I'm not to sure what the other two are about but I know HECS and SA should be it.
