Maybe they also use threshold scores for one or more sections?
I don't understand why they can't make their formula public, it's not like it's going to change the scores people receive!?
I got an interview with a weighted score of 155 and I'm also non standard non GWS.
My scores were 60, 62, 66.
From comparing our scores - If S3 were weighted any less than half, I wouldn't have gotten an interview. 155 looks like it's the cut-off
Got my interview offer today :D
Non-standard, rural.
S1 60, 95th percentile.
UWS interviews are the same week, I really want a JMP spot so I'm glad it's on the Friday. UWS can be a practice run! (Wouldn't say no to a spot there, though)
I'm about 15 minutes south-west of the CBD, (being intentionally obscure to avoid detection!)
Where are you? If you feel like interview practice, count me in :)
Interview location has no bearing on where you are offered a spot. They use your preferences and nothing else.
I did my undergrad at UoN and can confirm the place is a mosquito breeding ground. It's surrounded by wetlands so it's not surprising.
Pack some Deet, you'll survive
I didn't ask. I'm a rural student with section 1 of 60 so not worried about the offer...but we've been doing some landscaping and our letterbox is resting on a pile of bricks, I'm paranoid it will blow out or something! I wish they would just adopt the email offer approach
i'm not sure...I thought my score would have been borderline, was surprised to get an interview. Having s3 as our highest section score really doesn't work in our favour at UWS.
31 million? That's a lot of ummm..pens? Logo hoodies?? Must be nice to have that much disposable cash.
One quick glance at my HECS debt is all the evidence I need to know that universities are very profitable businesses, (and here I am, trying to contribute another 5 years worth of $$) :D
Ahaha my bad, I've left you a little more "work" in my previous posts.
I'm a USyd student and can't understand why there's this push to change the name to Sydney University
Use a GPA calculator like this one https://www.newcastle.edu.au/current-students/support/careers-jobs-and-your-future/your-future/gpa-calculator
From memory, WSU thresholds are 5.6 for a completed degree, 6.1 for 1 year and 6.5 for 1 semester.
Not sure about the ATAR, or if they consider it if...
I should have added, my WAM is 92. So, it's higher than yours but yours is still pretty good. WSU publish their GPA thresholds but I don't think it's possible to convert them to a WAM. Do you know your GPA?
You should get one. My UMAT score is very similar to yours, (60, 62, 66 - 95th), and i'm also a non-standard non-GWS applicant. I got one in the first release, you did slightly better than I did so I can't see why you wouldn't.
