Ahaha my bad, I've left you a little more "work" in my previous posts.
I'm a USyd student and can't understand why there's this push to change the name to Sydney University
The University decided to burn 31 million dollars on some pointless bull**** rather than spending it on infrastructure or you know...? Education? I mean f*** that, it's a University afterall, it exists for profit and screwing the students over in fees for this rubbish means nothing to the higher ups apparently.

31 million? That's a lot of ummm..pens? Logo hoodies?? Must be nice to have that much disposable cash.
One quick glance at my HECS debt is all the evidence I need to know that universities are very profitable businesses, (and here I am, trying to contribute another 5 years worth of $$) :D

i'm not sure...I thought my score would have been borderline, was surprised to get an interview. Having s3 as our highest section score really doesn't work in our favour at UWS.

Hmmm yeah I know.......:/. I'm a bit worried ahahaha. When will they send us rejection emails if we don't get invited to interview?

Pretty unlikely :(
My friend got 61/60/63 (93%) last year, non-GWS, no interview
Oh dear :(

Do you think I realistically have a chance anywhere?

I imagine my predicted atar is around 96-98.

With your current marks, JCU, and possibly UQ (They give ATAR bonus points for certain things - check this up)
If you can end up boosting your ATAR to about 99, you should get interviews at UNSW, Monash, Adelaide in the 2nd round. (but only just)

Hi,
My wam is 77. Should I be worried?
My wam for sem 1 was 81.25 which would have apparently kept my ATAR of 98.9 more or less the same. I dropped to 1 unit in sem 2 because I didn't want to risk lowering my academic marks if I messed up my uni studies (if you do less than 0.75 of a full load they dont count your uni marks). Since your ATAR is 96, it should boost you academically a bit :)

Last year I was 91st percentile with 71 47 63 (GWS), so our situations are really similar. I didn't get an interview though :/

You've definitely met the cutoff for UQ (most probably unbonded), and you get bonus points for stuff like 4U maths that can boost your ATAR over 99.

UQ gives bonus points for 4u maths? Is this automatic like the NSW non-med courses?

Money talks. You finally figured out this world is unfair.

Damn that's rough. Are you GWS?
Weighting is 1 + 2 + a little bit (nobody knows exactly how much, but definitely less than half judging from last year) of 3.
