    i ultimately think that King Lear is about his personal development as a person without the glory of being king and that by having the subplot of Glouster and his own domestic problems it sort of parallel's Lear's issues just so that the Elizabetham/Jacobean audience wouldnt get bored.     What are you currently doing in the prelim course? We did Ovid's Pygmalion and then Bernard Shaw's play on the same thing; was good but the HSC course gets so much better =)
