i don't think you can use the RET thing to get into med, can you? i always thought it was just - minimum UAI 92, and no exceptions.

ahhh...orientation...that thing we also have no news whatsoever about. why is nothing fixed for medicine? we don't have any dates or anything. and i want my timetable!!!!

do we have one for med? because i went here: http://www.uws.edu.au/students/stuadmin/start/local/aascohs2007 and med is nowhere to be found. So i guess we don't have one. hmmm just wondering.

if you got a medically bonded place, or a rural bonded scholarship, you would already know, it would've been at the bottom of your offer letter. (NOTE: this offer is a bonded place...) a friend of mine got one of those. so, yeah if it didn't say anything then i think you can assume its normal...

God, i reckon. SO not going to miss 5 hour labs and that ridiculous skills test. and yeah - first year was liek some extension of year 12 (esp for me - basically the same subjects). all round boring - but i was looking forward to this year. oh well, out of the frying pan...

um I thought the interview was ok actually. I also went to UNSW fo rtheir interview, and on the whole, preferred UWS. Tell her not to worry about the interview so much, just owrk on getting one at all, before she starts preparing for it.

my UAI was 95.50, but that was from the 2005 HSC - i did first year med science at sydney in 2006, and got mostly credits/distinctions. so yeah that should give you some vague idea i guess. UMAT: raw scores added up to 228.

I got an offer from UWS for Med this year, but i'm finding it impossible to enrol online. Just wondering if there are any others on here who have the same problem? It says I'm unable to enrol online for some reason - just not sure of the reason. help!

no i didn't. hmm it said we would gt it in ten minutes, didn't it? well, i haven't gotten anything yet. but after i saved the changes to my enrollment, the screen said "update of your course was successful - 23-Feb-2006" and it had my new details below so i printed it out, just to be sure. it...

i emailed them. we'll see what happens. is there anyone out there who knows wat i have to do? any advice would be welcome, since i've had previous experience with emailing the science faculty for help...they didn't get back to me for almost 2 weeks last time.
