Wow, I miss a lot when I go to bed early:(
Anyway, test on in 3 hours, physics assignment is raping me, and I have no idea how to make the enclosure for a rotary engine in CAD without defining a billion different points so that the rotor's touching it all the time.
Grrr so not gonna get D's this semester:/

yep ragey you see the problem is that you need to exercise too...it releases stuff called human growth hormone...

but essentially i was the same...about 175cm and 58kg...
now I'm still the same height and 65 kg

BMI = 21.1 w00t!

(BMI Categories:

Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater )

The main problem with him is his metabolic rate. I see people with fast metabolic rates gym all the time.. doing lots of compound exercises (which induces the release of growth hormones). But they don't gain a pound. For someone like him to gain weight, he just needs enough calories... nothing else is anywhere near relevant.

Name me one thing with a lot of calories that is easy to find/buy/eat.

I'll eat that non stop and see :D

Maccas don't work...I mean, its high in calories, high fat, high protein. What else could I want :(

Haha Macca's doesnt have that much protein, it is 100% beef but it's probably still 90% fat. Basically you should eat lots of bread and red meat, and whenever you're eating meat try to have twice as much as you would now.

Quarter pounder has 32g of protein. Considering how small that burger is, I reckon that's quite a lot of protein since I can probably eat 2-3.

Red meat? No thanks, I prefer my food dead on the plate. :p

colin you dont understand...david said he's been eating alot of calories so you can't attribute everything to his metabolism...

What's further for me to understand?
Your post only augments my point. If he can't even gain WEIGHT (not even fat) eating lots of calories, how would lifting weights help him to gain much weight either? Gaining effective muscle mass requires two primary conditions which must be satisfied:
a) Enough calories (and protein)
b) Resistance training
If he can't get over the caloric/protein threshold for effective hypertrophy, no amount of weight lifting is gonna see him gain that much weight. Doesn't matter how he does it.. 6 training sessions a week, heavy emphasis on compounds, brutal shocking methods like super/drop setting etc... if he can't get enough calories, he's not gonna gain much weight. This is the whole reason why so many Asians who gym are so scrawny.

The fact that he's been eating alot of calories without gaining weight (not even FAT!?!?!) proves that it's his metabolic rate that's the problem. The more he eats without gaining weight, the more it proves that his BMR is the culprit. Hence the reason why your post did nothing but support my points.
