Meh. There's no point worrying about it. If he feels that it's not worthwhile doing MX2 unless you attain 97+, then that's his opinion, even though we may disagree.

I dont and will never subscribe to the idea that you should even do maths for the marks, I mean sometimes i seriously question the merit of even worrying about you get,... its all show really... cant people appreciate the priceless knowledge and stimulation of 4u as simply that, a priveledge like heeps of people wished they had.

Don't let these estimates make you complacent though . No-one knows for sure that 60/120 will align to 80/100, but it's possible.

but another guy in the class got 97 in 3unit and 98 in 4unit.

They system will reward whoever does more work
Aslong as you improve on your school trial mark you should scale up
unless your school made really easy tests were nothing would help you
except alot of cramming

But people who've got 100%ile in different sections have got 80 as a raw mark for it..
so 240 would be the maximum UMAT score?

he may have just added his percentiles..

The top pecentiles have a large range of possible scores. Technically someone could get that mark but they would have to be in the upper 100th percentile for every section.

Speaking of his sig, who the hell puts their estimate of 100 UAI in their sig to show off. For a start projecting a UAI of 100 for yourself is ridiculous - u can only get less or equal to, and if u dont equal, everyone will think you're a wanker (which clearly in his case some people already think so).
