Yeah we're pretty small. There's only 30 students in my year. Out of interest, what school is your cousin at?

Stelarc's not really repulsive... it's interesting/cool to look at...
Some is interesting, 'Amplified Body' is very cool. I have one image here of him suspended from the roof using wire and hooks through his skin that always gets to me though. I probably shouldn't have lumped him in the repulsive catagory with Orlan, who indeed creates more nauseating "things" in the name of art.

Ah that sounds good. I'd be keen to read some EE2 majors. Is that all at Wollongong High?

Yeah, I'm a big Jeff Buckley fan too. Loved his live set on Triple J's Impossible Music Festival over the weekend too. Such a good live performer.

And that mark, is that from your last assessment?
Missed the set actually....But the mark was my internal mark for the BOW.

these are a couple pictures from my animation, i used a lot of direct comparisons. here, is the couple on their wedding day (the woman wears the mask throughout to 'shield' her identity, making her a more universal character, whilst the man is an appropriated 'where's wally', a character who is present or affects everything that happens) the second image is a phagocyte engulfing a foreign particle.

make your own conclusions.

Thanks, I am really nervous about what I'll get for it...

Basically it's an exploration of the Lilith/Eve thing, not as a blatant one-sided feminist rant but mainly regarding how such identities can be warped over context etc etc etc.

Blah.

Our teacher was really funny when I first showed her my sketches for a few of my shots, she's like 'you can have too many naked girls leila! it might border on pornographic'
Yeah, cos, last time I checked all women were always clothed head to toe in hessian sacks.

This is not actually the finished product, I added more blocks and stuff.

Also, you can't really see it from these flicks, but the oppersite side of each block shows a close up of the photo on the reverse. I'll show you what i mean.

so like, on side of the brick, there is:

and on the other:

Is it that bad guys?

3 days, no comments in a generally very active thread...heartbroken.

Also, i am trying to track down photos of the final product, it had more bricks, but i can't find the guy who took them.

Just had a look then, and I think it's pretty cool. :) Did you take all those photos yourself? Fair bit of work there, good stuff. What kind of conceptual meaning do you have behind these?

Thanks for the feedback, i was getting lonly!

jeah, i took them all, in the end there were 144 photos.

Basically, it is an exploration of The Wall in all its forms, as a physical barrier to keep people in, as a physical barrier to keep people out, as a canvas, as a symbol of power, as a decorative structure, and in its mental form, as mental barriers and fraser is on now so i can't concerntrait on this. Nor spell.

Bye.
