Gallup's final presidential poll estimate has Obama ahead by 11%:

Obama 55%
McCain 44%

Both models (traditional and expanded) converged to predict this.

Other polls tend to agree, with Obama averaging about 52% and McCain averaging about 44%. So even if he got the rest of the independents...

So there ya go. Now time for the exit polls and electoral vote.

but certainly alluding to one of the mainstays of his campaign (ie. his patriotism as a POW)...witty remark but nothing to split my sides over....as you said 'decent'
