I think my rankings are gonna drop dramatically.

I failed Chem (I think). If i get 10% in chemistry, will I get an N award?

they could give you one for a non serious attempt, but from what my brief conversations with you it sounds like you work frigging hard and i doubt they would do that to you.

Thanks guys.
Yep, I'm a pretty hardworking student, except that I didn't study at all for Chemistry this time. You're right ashie, my Chemistry teacher thinks I'm a try hard so she probably won't give me an N award.

haha she actually said, "you're a try hard, yet your marks don't reflect this."
and then she gives me a merit award for trying hard in Chemistry (when I didn't really study. She doesn't know that I'm dropping it)

Carpe diem with negative connotations heha
Ah, so lucky, I still have four exams left :(

And at our school, we'll only have 1 wk before the hols, so [knowing my teachers] it'll be pretty relaxed. There's not much we can really do. Probably a lot of discussion about the topics for yr 12 etc

english over, seven to go.
feel okay, did section two first, which was an essay. pretty glad i didn't prepare anything, it seemed to just flow out. section one was such a wank.
wrote about 1200 words and my wrist is numb.

next exam is maths on tuesday.

Have you heard anything about the cutoff for 4U yet? All I know is my class [mt2]'s average was 51 or something. Got 3U and Ancient back, which were 50/60 and 58/60. Wish I could swap the marks around x]
I'd assume cutoff is top 90, which it always has bveen, or top 4 classes, so a limit of 96. This is what it's always been. I'd probably get in if it was this. Regardless, I got Chem Prac 1 back, 12/16, so pretty shit, and I got Economics back, 98/100, so 1st in the grade =)

re: Preliminary Yearlies Discussion Thread

Had maths 2U yesterday...

My preparation consisted of watching 2 hours of NCIS, then attempting to do the previous years preliminary exam given to us. Realizing after not being able to complete any question apart from 2 on the first page that if I didn't cram like hell I would fail terribly, going to the petrol station at 1AM to buy 2 cans of monster a can of V and a 750ml can of Rockstar, studying all night until 7am then taking my 2 unit test.

It actually went amazingly well considering half our year, myself included were averaging 60% for each topic test. Missed out a few difficult questions but so did my mate from 3U...answered 95% of the questions and felt pretty confident about most if not all. It was a great success considering I was expecting to fail miserably but feel I got between 70-80%.

Economics tomorrow - planning to do the same thing...lol.
