5:31pm: Polling booths in one electorate in Sydney's west are running out of forms right before they close, according to one source on the ground at the Parramatta electorate.
At least two booths are out of absentee ballots, the source told Fairfax Media's James Robertson.
Despite being the final day of the campaign absentee ballots are quite important.
A recent redistribution has left electors on either side of that electorate and nearby Blaxland. The problem is many voters are not clear on which side of the dividing line they now fall, which means they must cast an absentee ballot if they turn up to their usual booth but find it's now outside their new electorate. Voters are being redirected to another booth in the electorate.
"It's going to be chaos," the source said. "Queues are round the corner".
