wait i thought state ranks were based on your hsc mark overall not just the external mark you got (or maybe im fried from maths)

Does anyone know how everyone found the maths ext 2 paper. I found it kinda easy except for q16 and im just trying to figure out how the scaling is going to be this year in comparisons to others. Like I found it to be easier than last years but do you guys think it’ll still have similar scaling?

A girl in my class who is ranked 1st internally in Maths Advanced got moved to a separate room today because she was coughing a lot. I heard that she apparently left the exam halfway because she was too sick to continue and didn't end up finishing. How will her performance affect my mark (btw I'm ranked 3rd out of 7)? My school is ranked in the 500's and we haven't got a single band 6 in Maths Advanced for the past 2-3 years. Will she end up dragging everyone down?

However, on the flip side, can she get a band 6 from just her "internal marks" (which will obviously be high - I'm guessing around 70 to 80 - because my school sets easy tests) despite her half-assed attempt on the maths exam?

Looking back on it the papers not even too bad but theres so many questions designed to throw you off. Like once you see how to do it its ez, but in exam so hard

If 2020 alignment 65 = 81 then I should still surely be in B5 range so at the end of the day its not horrible but not great

cause 220/11 = 22 and u plus $10 gst from second labour cost.

220 is divided by 11 (not 10) because the gst is already included in the total amount

to get the gst to an amount that doesn't have it you divide by 10 and then add that to the original
to get the original price of an amount that already has gst included you divide it by 11 and then times that by 10
