Holy shit. Private school?
NOPE! It's a public school! It's called 'general maintenance fees'. Scumbags.

i found out today that these melbourne schoolkids only rampaged in the streets AFTER they all got suspended for the ballgame. which makes a whole lot more sense now. media said they just randomly rampaged which caused the suspension. it's the other way around.

i thought for public schools it's optional?
one of my friends went to a public primary school and it was called a 'good-will' donation thing, where they wanted you to pay but it wasn't compulsory so to say...

Depending on what highschool you attend, you have to pay for the subjects you choose, ie. Photography = Use of photography material, therefore you have to pay for the material used so the school can get more. This may come under "General Maintenence Fees".
