It's not so much difficult, just the workload is immense compared to year 12 maths. (I only did 3unit). Gotta get on top of everything next sem.

i based this on transfers. Say if i was to transfer to a certain course next year, wouldnt they base it on the wam for the whole year?

yes, but if u only have 1 semesters results you obviously cant have your whole first year WAM, u can still have a WAM after 1 semester. In fact, if u apply for exchange for 2nd yr 2nd semester, (i.e. u would have to hand in your application before sem 2 results are out) then ur exchange application is just based on your WAM for first year first semester.

I'm just saying that first year first sem WAM is pretty representative of first year WAM.

Except for IPT, either all or most (pretty sure it's all, but I'm covering myself with a disclaimer here) require you to have completed 36UOC to be eligible.

iuno i am studying but i am not sure if i am going to scrape a 70 wam... doing com/law atm and looking at scraping a Credit for LAWS1052 and possibly high Credit or low distinction for ECON1101 and ECON1203. Misanswered my midsem for ECON1101 and getting raped... Although hopefully ACCT1501 will pull my wam up.

yeah, annabackwards (she was an active user on here before) keept getting 100% after 100% this semester just gone (uni, not HSC), so she was pretty good help to me.

How much you put in is how much you get out.

Pretty hard to fail in Uni I reckon. 1st Year Chemistry & Biology in Science is understandable cos its badly taught, badly run and only good for those who've done biology and hard core chem in HSC. By 2 years onwards you'll get a much higher WAM cos you're studying towards what you want to specialise in.

So I'm getting 84 provisional for MATH1141. Seems like 70 WAM, thus far - and just using that maths mark - is pretty easy if you do the work.
