Some things never change.
nop!, according to Acmilan's Raw marks, it dosen't stay the same, all the sciences usualy get aligned nicely, its just that some get algined nicer than others!Abtari said:i thought bio stayed the same too... @_@

huh? whats the relevance of acmilan's raw marks? what was his raw and aligned mark for biology/sciences?physician said:nop!, according to Acmilan's Raw marks, it dosen't stay the same, all the sciences usualy get aligned nicely, its just that some get algined nicer than others!
ok, that's good then. i was worrying i wouldn't make band 6 for biology, even though i'm ranked 2nd in the school. (non-selective) hopefully i got at least 83/100 raw. then i'll get at least band 6. thanks for these raw marks.~ ReNcH ~ said:Acmilan:
Biology - 83/100 raw and 93/100 aligned
Physics - 87/100 raw and 95/100 aligned

These figures suggest that the Band 6 cut-off for Biology was somewhere between 74 and 77/100, while the Band 6 cut-off for Physics was between 72 and 76/100. I'd imagine that the 2004 Band 6 cut-off for Chemistry would also have been around the same.
I think that's likely the case.Techie said:No, he said his exam mark was 85 - this isn't affected by the internal assessments at all.
Perhaps he was a little overconfident in his estimate of 75-80 raw.
Yea, that's pretty much how I'm going along. There's little point "aiming" for a certain mark and expecting yourself to get that mark...it's ok to have a target or a goal for that subject though. All this is just speculation...it's just human curiosityGhost1788 said:relax people you havent even done the exam, wait till you gauge its difficulty before you go estimating how much you need to scale...aim for 100%...i'm not saying all of us wil get 100% but why aim for anything less...
good luck to all of you
i agree. i found chem much more enjoyable (and easier) than physics.xrtzx said:chem is not necessarily harder than phys.it just depends on the person
