theyre russian words???? No way!!! that kindof takes away from the movie alot in my opinion.. not as inventive....

as for not being able to get it from video easy and block buster go to the smaller down the road type video shops, they have all the more cultish films you cant get from big chains.

Well, the novel was supposed to be a metaphor for Communist propaganda warping youth wasn't it? So the use of Anglocised Russian is actually kinda clever/subversive.

I downloaded it a couple of weeks back. Not a bad movie, it was watchable and I didn't get too bored. Alex is a pretty funny guy. I was expecting a more shocking movie though, especially after having heard all the hype.

I'm downloading cannibal holocaust now....

I loved 2001, personally, though know some who find it long and boring.

I think, excepting Eyes Wide Shut which was mediocre and Lolita which was just good, all of Kubrick's films are at the very least great.

They did that a while back as well - a Kubrick movie on every sunday night for about 2 moths.

I didn't really like 2001, mostly because I didn't get it, but also because I don't really share Kubrick's opinion that a 6 minute scene of a spaceship moving across the screen is "arty". I'm sure it had an impact when it was released, but now it just seems excessive. Damn modern cinema, it's runied my ability to...to...uh *turns on TV*...
