Thank you Joe finally a question jeez people's obsession with pants omg! okay yes formal equality is Formal equality is a principle of equal treatment: individuals who are alike should be treated alike, according to their actual characteristics rather than stereotypical assumptions made about them. It is a principle that can be applied either to a single individual, whose right to be treated on his or her own merits can be viewed as a right of individual autonomy, or to a group, whose members seek the same treatment as members of other, similarly situated groups

Okay next question:

How are rights recognised and enforced?

and please no pants talk
human rights are recognised and enforced only when a country agrees to be part of the UN, signs and ratifies them into their domestic law
human rights are recognised in Australia by the constitution, staute law and common law.
The universal decleration of human rights 1948 outlines the rights all human beings are entitled to from birth

next question...WHAT are human rights?

Human Rights are fundamental rights. They are things to which every human being is entitled. Basically covered under the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights 1948. They are also upheld domestically under the constitution, the signing of international declarations and statute and common law.

What is the difference between domestic and international rights?

domestic rights are those right that people of a nation are subject to
international rights are rights that ppl of the international community are subject to

Means that a country governs itself. A country cannot be forced into making any decisions by any other nations. In essence, the internal affairs of a nation remain its internal affairs.

What are the two types of bodies that enforce human rights and give an example of each

government organisations e.g. the human rights and equal opportunity commission HREOC which is at federal level and the anti discrimination board which is at state level
non governent organisations include red cross and amnesty international

next question
