I found this in a past trial. And it reminded me of 2010, yet it doesn't come anywhere close difficulty wise... :)

So just for you math-nerds to try out. I liked the question, and frankly the marathon threads were getting chaotic and muddled.

Editor which 4u paper do you think is the most difficult? Personally I think 1993 then 2001. But my personal favourite was 2003.

Lol i was wondering how part ii) works then i realised you had to consider

that was pretty cunning of them

Nope cause the second expression if you expanded properly is x(1+2x+3x^2+…(N-1)x^(N-2))

Which is not a gp but... You know
