Ok... what would be a nice, close, neither the cheapest nor the more expensive suburb to live in?..... this way I could check the prices looking in that particular area....!!

Thanks

im estimating a normal suburbian old flat, 2 bedrooms to be around $270k

but like i suggested, rent with friends you know. So in total, you'll be paying around $200 a week. If you live with 1 other person, we plit it, so you only pay $100 a week. When you find a job, you'll earn at least ~$350 after tax. Hence you start saving.

However I have to add that it's going to be hard finding a job in media immediately. A person I know practiced medicine overseas for over 10 yrs, comes here to continue medical studies. He's been searching for work in past month but still no luck. Transport also a hassle because some jobs require you to have a driver's license.

Like I said before, I couldn't rent with somebody elsa because Im married.... Imagine that?!!?... Son in any case it would be better the both of us get jobs. For the driver licence I already have one.... I've been driving for about ten years.

Anyway, when you talk about $350 that would be per week right?.... so, why kind of job pays that amount?.. For my work experience I spect do it better than that, there's a lot o jobs I could do besides the media, like graphic design, or other thinks i qualify. but of course it's hard to say from here. that's why I appreciate you writing.

I searched a few jobs there on the net and they were about 35. 40k per year, that would be a lot more per week than $350.... So I'm getting a little confused here...!?!

Well.... how was your hollyday?

well you lose alot of the income due to tax. And when I said $350 (after tax), I was thinking more of an average job, not a professional specialist type income. It's better to plan for the worse than assume that you will find your ideal job from the moment you set foot in Australia.

So you are planning for your whole family to come here at once? Have you been guaranteed that? Most of the immigrants I know had one of their parents come here first and then for the rest of the family to come. However, I'm not an expert so I have no idea.

Well I wish you luck buddy!

well, my whole family would be me and my wife... just the both of us.....but anyway, probably I`d go first and then she would. I agree with you when you say to assume the worst, but it's also good to be positive, at least it's what I intend to do.
Just thinking.... if and average salary it's about 350, and a rent it's the same amount..... how do you live?... how about food?, services ( electricity, gas, etc...) are they expensive?
well, I'll be waiting reply.....

anyway..... how are you malachite? doing fine?

Take care.
