no,
u learn problem solving skills

banks have a lot of logic problems they need solving, which commerce ppl and their big globilisation words have no idea how to solve.

Problem solving and teamwork skills are universal, therefore engineers are in demand in tons of industries.

and engineers pawn commerce grads in maths so even if you dont get a job as an engineer you can work in any field involving maths and problem solving such as banks

is monash any good?
in what field?

If you are talkin Aerospace, then yeah ive found it good so far (1 year in). Some of the units get pretty tough (like the aero unit and electrical systems) but its doable.

entry requirements arent ridiculous like usyd cuase we take in ~80 into Aero each year compared to USYDs ~20. When I entered the clearly in ENTER was ~95

any other questions ask away and ill try my best to answer em
cheers

I really want to do aeronautical do you think I should apply for monash,is aeronautical a major of mechanical engineering like unsw or is it specialisation straight away once you get in?

Monash is a little weird in that they do a Mechanical Engineering Course and then another course which pretty much covers the difference. So it takes 5 years.

Depends on what you want. Monash will probably leave you slightly more employable (although probably not of any advantage in aeronautical) but it also means that you couldn't do a combined degree or anything.

nah its was ~97 for 2004 and for 2005 it was ~95 at monash check my above post. but apply even if you dont get the marks cause if they increase the intake the ENTER can always drop

No that was the case until 2005. It used to be a BE(Mech)/BTech(Aero) double degree like you said but since 2005 its been changed into a sepearte single Aerospace degree (Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering) so its only 4 years now instead of the 5yrs that it used to be.
