I think you can use Lazseeker for that since it tells you your aggregate of the best 10 units.

These are only very rough, sketchpad-type approximations -

UAI 2001 2002
60 253 261
70 283 291
80 319 325
90 367 372
95 402 406
99 448 451

The sum of the scaled marks from your best two units of english and your best eight other units.

wtf, so if you get 91 for every subject you'll get a uai of 99???
A scaled mark of 91, yes. Not an aligned or raw mark.

So getting Band 5 for everything or averaging 80+ in scaled marks will get you 95+?

In the past, the students who attained UAIs of 100 had aggregates spread across the following ranges:

2002: 480.8 - 490.1
2001: 483.2 - 498.2

No to the former and yes to the latter. Bands have nothing to do with it; they refer to aligned marks.

Equivalences between raw and scaled marks aren't published - you can only know whether a course had above or below average scaling. For that, see this list.

Laz. Whats the difference between scaled and aligned marks?
Usually, how big is the difference between them?

I included a nice glossary in the UAISeeker Manual - it might help.

The difference between them varies across courses (and even within a single course). Tables of quivalencies are published in the Technical Committee's Report on the Scaling of the HSC each year (quick links - 2001 and 2002).

also, the uac scaling, is that how every mark for every subject(besides a few subjects) get scaled down, but the "higher scaling" subjects as we call them, just lose less marks?

does that even make sense?

I understand what you mean.

In reality... that's actually not what occurs. It's just a useful way of 'explaining' the statistics to those who are less mathematically inclined. But you're correct in that it's referring to the scaling performed on marks for inclusion in your UAI.
