Always go to sleep after school for around 1-2 hours (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, recently ive been getting into a really bad habit, after school, around 5-6 i start feeling tired, idk why i dont play sport or anything, but it takes up so much of my time that i really cant afford to waste.
Any1 know why im feeling so tired?
I sleep for >8 hours most days

i dont eat breakfast could that be the problem?

Yes. NOT eating breakfast IS A PROBLEM. Breakfast is the most important meal, out of all 3 meals. You need all the energy from breakfast.

I have the exact same problem, except I do eat my breakfast!!! :(
I don't know why, but my eyes start to droop at around 5-6 and I can no longer concentrate. However after 30mins-1hr of sleeping, I feel refreshed and ready to work.

The way I see it, it's not so much WASTING TIME, but rejuvenating myself so that I can do efficient work for the rest of the night. I end up sleeping at 1 AM most days.


Perhaps reduce your nap time or sleep right after you get home. That way you save time...ish

Other than the breakfast issue, I think that the fact that you don't play any sport is a problem. Going for a walk or run will make you tired initially, but after you are used to it you will have heaps more energy. And it doesn't take long to get used to it. Why not start in the coming holidays.

It isn't necessarily a bad thing to sleep in the afternoon. I studied most effectively at night, so I would always sleep for a couple hours when I got home from school and then study till about 1 in the morning. I still got my 8 hours sleep, but I just split it up to accommodate my study habits.

I'll just quote what I said from another thread on a similar manner and what used to work for me:

My suggestion:

Exercise your self a lot one evening around 6pm-8pm then have a shower and light dinner and sleep before 10pm (you'll sleep easily). (It works for me with training).

Also, you need to actually have the willpower to not let yourself sleep in the afternoons because it destroys your sleeping patterns.

Sleep 8 hrs a night and you will be fine everyday without needing to nap every afternoon (I did this before and suffered a lot more tiredness that way).

I try resist the urgue of sleeping in the afternoon! For some reason I always feel lethargic afterwards!

Caffiene up and push through
