The Telegraph gave it a 2 1/2 star. Would most of you agree with this? Except that Lynda Roach who does the movie reviews is a bit of a tightass when it comes to rating movies...
I'd give it 3 stars , mainly because it's actually scary and has those few " jump " moments , some are predictable but what can you do . Plot is fairly weak , the preview basically outlined it

All in all , its worth your 10 dollars

I saw it last night. It was alright, the jump scares were pretty annoying, but there's more to the movie than that - Ryan Reynalds plays the possessed dad like an abusive father, so you get more sort of human scares, if that makes sense. But the ending was fucking terrible. Reminded me of the remakes of House on Haunted Hill and Thirteen Ghosts, and that's not a good thing. At all.

Its the type of movie that is so lame but I want to see it anyway, but none of my friends want to go and I would feel too loserish seeing a movie by myself :(

mm..that was.....not good haha..even though i didn't look at half of it coz all the 'spooky' stuff looked dirty as..it was still a pretty shit movie..everything happened so fast..but yeh, won't be seeing that again..and i don't really recommend it..but everyone has different tastes

some bits were way too overdramatic though and i found myself laughing at how stupid the characters were..not good in a horror movie..it also really shit me that you constantly see ryan reynolds buff body..good for him..but it's a godamn horror movie! lol

haha..and the little boy looks so funny *sniggers*

From what I can figure, that's exactly what happened. A guy murdered his family and claimed that he was possessed by the house. But that was all bullshit that he used to try and get away with it, as well as to make money for the new owners, the Lutzes.

So, what, you're saying you believe that the house was actually haunted?
