in the online test it asks a question on which portion of the straight lined demand curve has the lowest price elasticity of demand.

i said the bottom part but the answers say it is the top part

but the elasticity at higher points on the curve, where it is above 1 is higher than the elasticity at lower points on the curve, below where it is 1.. so surely the lower part has lower demand elasticity.

can soneone explain please?

yeah i think the answers must be wrong

the elasticity higher in the curve is greater than 1, and lower in the curve is less than 1

so obviously the top part of the curve is more elastic?
