So someone asked if I wanted to tutor them for Mathematics, and I don't want to dive in without not actually knowing what I'm doing since the burden of their performance will be partly my responsibility. Any tips?

EDIT: Probably the wrong place.

Are you sure you want to be tutoring someone whilst you're in your HSC year?

Tutoring in Year 12 can be a good idea if you formerly accelerated. Tutoring helps you solidify the learning that you have had in past.

However, in saying that, if you haven't accelerated and didn't do HSC Mathematics, you really shouldn't tutor. Also, tutoring HSC Mathematics without having done higher level of Mathematics isn't realy recommended too but as long as you achieved high mark in them, I guess it's okay...
