I'm not going either.
although me and my mates might take a small trip close-by.
(sailing, picnic, wine tasting, with very nice food, like high-quality smoked salmon, caviar (athough not a lot), fresh oysters).
To me the appeal of getting piss drunk, throwing up and drinking some more is akin to say, drinking a $5.99 merlot.

I just have a taste for the finer things unfortunately.

well you can have a 'beer and a steak' any time.
I can go into my local pub and have it for a late supper.
the time after the HSC, or any period of hard work should be followed by something worth celebrating for..
like caviar, wine, and oysters =]
I've just pulled out of going to schoolies ater having a massive fight with the girls i was going with. they arent' very happy that they have to fork out 300each or find somebody else to go with, but i'd much rather stay home, take any extra shifts i can, and then head away for a few days with the boyfriend

well same for me,
but that's because i was under age (couldn't drink
)and didn't have any money
I still don't have any money,
(well obviously a bit more than back when i was 13).
when you get more money, i guess the 'finer things get finer'
I actually might just go for a steak =]

I'm not going because I've recently been given the quest to find the lost City of Atlantis, which has been discovered in the indian ocean, near papua new guinea. I assume it will take me the whole summer holidays and then some to properly excavate the city. So expect to see me in the news........yes sorry schoolies.

im not going, i just couldnt be stuffed to go, cost of it, i'd rather stay at home and work. i still have next yr left for two subjects, but i dont get along with anyone in tht year, so i wont end up going
i dont think your the only one not going, theres plenty of kids at our school who is simply because they cant be bothered to organise anything anymore.

I plan to not go to schoolies but to get a group of friends together and create some havoc ourselves- minus the drugged up people and the creeps. I dont see the point in celebrating with someone completly drugged up as an ending of highschool.
